•  Knowing how to, and occasionally testing, the restoration of your backups.   Do not restore over your live company perhaps destroying the sole set of good  data you have. Always restore to a new / dummy company.
  

•  Performing regular (daily) integrity checks.
  

•  Reading the manual / online help. The F1 key usually provides context sensitive  help, which may instantly provide the solution to your problem.
   

•  Defining your problem as clearly and precisely (preferably in writing) as you  can. Describe how the problem occurred only after defining the problem itself.
  

• Try, and re-create the problem using the demo data supplied by you vendor. If you cannot re-create the problem on the demo data, there is a good chance that either your set up parameters are wrong or your data is corrupt.
  

• Try get free answers from the user forum in the first instance.
  

• Use the following free programs to minimise your support costs:-
  Skype is a little program for making free calls over the internet to anyone else who also has Skype. Use Skype for low cost vocal support. 
  
  TightVNC is a free remote control program allowing authorised users to access and control your computer as if they were sitting in front of it. Use TightVNC for low cost support. 
  
  Both programs are available on the TurboCASH Value Pack CD which may be purchased for only $12.  Alternatively they may be downloaded for free.
